The University of California San Diego (UCSD) chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) thanks you for your interest in sponsoring our organization. The primary source of funding for college chapters of SWE is from corporate sponsorship. Without sponsors, the chapter would greatly suffer in its ability to provide prospective students with educational development and leadership opportunities.
The goal for the Peer Engineering Program is to provide high school students the ability to work on creative engineering projects of their own design and to teach them the technical and team building skills to make this project a success. In addition PEP hopes to build mentoring between high school students and college students in order to inspire future engineering students. The project teams will benefit from not only the advice and technical skills of college students, but also the supplies and tools provided by the Society of Women Engineers. These benefits greatly rely on funding from corporate and private sponsors for supplies and transportation.
