Peer Engineering Program

PEP (Peer Engineering Program) is a program serving as a project team for high school students to learn basic engineering skills.

Engineering students from UC San Diego will teach their high school protégés the hands-on skills they will need to build their project and guide them through the planning and creation process. Each team will be assigned mentors who will monitor the project's progress and teach all skills necessary to complete the project.

Students will work on their projects starting in January until June when they will present their projects and evaluate the process behind their projects.

The program is gender inclusive and open to all high school students in the San Diego area able to travel to the UCSD campus. No prior engineering knowledge is necessary. All materials and equipment are provided free of charge.

As a new program, we are so thrilled to see so much interest.
